- You recite two bols (syllables) in the duration of one beat (matra).
- Since Ektala has 12 matras, one complete cycle of Ektala in Dugun laya will finish in 6 beats (12 / 2 = 6).
- To perform Dugun correctly, maintain a steady tempo and ensure equal weightage to both bols within the beat.
